Fall

Temptation
to fall
toward
the dark
side
of dawn
the rain
a tease
across
thirsty
beds
equipment
standing
still
dollars
shifting
sorting
disappearing
in the
wind.

Fierce
conversations

waiting
in line
peeking
around
pretend
resolve
pushing
to see
what
is
holding
 up
progress
wondering
will there be
popcorn
7up
milk duds
red vines
will they
make it
in
the door
and
when
does the
main
attraction
begin
is it
too
late
to get
their
money
back
is this
the  only
show
in
town?

Sometimes just speaking out the temptations makes it easier to choose empowerment… to choose creative endeavors over dark thoughts…to choose sharing over hiding.

May you always have the courage and the strength and the deep friendships to help you turn toward the light.

    1. Thank you back! I really enjoy hearing that my words have hit their mark and your continuous feedback sustains me in many ways. The picture was taken by my friend Jon on a bicycling trip together… isn’t it amazing?!

  1. Lovely Jeanne! Thank you for the gift of your words and your courage to use them to paint poignant thoughts about the things with which we all struggle.
